Search for a New Vicar Begins

The Mission Committee is seeking 7-9 parishioners who are interested in serving on a Search Committee as we seek a new Vicar for St. Christopher's.  The work of the Search Committee is very important and we hope that the priest we call will be with us for as many as ten years.  Search Committee members need to be representative of the congregation, members in good standing and willing to serve for the duration of the search.  The search could last from four to seven months.  In the beginning, the time commitment will be focused upon discernment and preparation ( is likely to be relatively low ).  Toward the end, efforts will shift to receiving and evaluating applications and applicants. The time will vary, and may be as high as ( the commitment is likely to rise to ) around ten hours a week.  Committee members will be trained by d'Rue Hazel. If you would like to help to shape the future of St. Christopher's in this vital way, please send Beth a message at office@stchrisonline.org.  If you have questions, please contact a Mission Committee member.  Please let us know by August 17th so that the Mission Committee can make a final selection at its August 21st meeting.

Our service times are 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings (Holy Eucharist) and at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings (Taizé style worship).

At St. Christopher's we strive to be a warm welcoming parish where our members can be challenged in their relationship with Jesus Christ.  We recognize that any relationship takes work, so at St. Christopher's we are committed to providing a place where God's people can hear the Gospel, ask questions and be given opportunities to go into the world proclaiming The Good News through our words, our prayers, our actions and our lives. Thank you for visiting us.
